Day 1: Arrival JRO, Transfer Manyara

Lake Manyara Tree Lodge – Dinner
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Northern Tanzania, where you’ll be greeted by your tour guide and taken directly to the Lake Manyara Tree Lodge just in time for lunch. Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, the only lodge inside the park, is located in the south of the Lake Manyara National Park, far away from the bottleneck area of the park. This makes the experience of this relatively small park feel quite remote and quiet. Stylish and luxurious, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge has the best location of any lodge in the area (with a price tag to match), and thanks to clever design it still feels surprisingly connected to its patch of dense forest.

Lake Manyara National Park is best known for the flamboyant flamingos and pouch-mouthed pelicans who find comfort on the tranquil waters of the reserve’s lake of the same name. Home to over 400 species of birds, a birdwatching safari from your camp to the lake will share memorable scenes of these soaring feathered friends. Lake Manyara National Park offers a true wilderness experience in diverse habitats, from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides.

Days 2-4: Transfer Serengeti National Park

Accommodation: Serengeti Bushtops – Fullboard
From Manyara, take a morning drive across the vast plains of the Serengeti for the second part of your Highlight of Northern Tanzania tour. This area is packed with incredible wildlife, offering plenty of opportunities to spot wandering herds en route to your lodgings at the beautiful Serengeti Bushtops Camp. Serengeti Bushtops Camp is situated in one of the world’s most spectacular landscapes, the renowned Serengeti National Park. Days 5-6: Transfer Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Leaving Serengeti National Park, today you will head out to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, On arrival you will be assisted with check in at Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge. Situated on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Nepture Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge is a short drive away from the famous crater – a world wonder for game viewing – as well as the rewarding Lake Manyara National Park. Day 7: Transfer Tarangire National Park

Accommodation: Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge
After breakfast, depart Ngorongoro and head south east to Lake Manyara, Mto wa Mbu village and Tarangire. Through the highlands and the Karatu district, you’ll be able to view the scenic wheat plains and coffee plantations. You will then carry on your journey down the spectacular escarpment where you turn south onto the main Arusha-Dodoma road and into the park. From here you will enjoy a game drive en route, check in at the Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge. Nestled deep within the heart of Tarangire National Park, Tarangire Kuro TreeTops Lodge, a lavish luxury accommodation is nestled deep within the heart of the park. It enjoys a strategic location a top an elevated hill of kopjes overlooking the Tarangire River on one side. On the other side, the lodge overlooks the Silale Valley. This valley leads to the Silale swamp to the west. Due to constant availability of water, this area is famous for regular visits by varied wildlife throughout the year.

Day 8: Depart, Transfer Arusha

Optional: Meals/Dayroom
Depart the lodge after breakfast for your return journey back to Arusha. Enjoy lunch in Arusha town centre before returning to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
